Lee Sutton sported a strong racecar throughout the program at Dixie, as he qualified eighth fastest and wound up sixth in the final rundown of the A-Main behind winner Mike Head, Ricky Williams, Dusty Chitwood, Tim Day, and Wayne Echols. LEE SUTTON FRONT PAGE NEWS - June 16, 2008

Lee Sutton and his #L7 team invaded a pair of Georgia venues over the June 13-14 weekend. On Friday night, June 13, Lee unfortunately could not make his way into the $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series feature event at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia after finishing eleventh in his heat race and thirteenth in the B-Main. The Taylorsville, Georgia native had a much better night at the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday evening, June 14. Lee was able to run third in the $1,500 to win A-Main behind winner Ricky Williams and runner-up Luther Jenkins after qualifying second fastest. The Lee Sutton Racing team was back in action at the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia on Saturday night, June 7 for a $2,000 to win show. Lee Sutton qualified third quickest in time trials to earn the inside second row starting spot for the A-Main. The Taylorsville, Georgia native then ran amongst the leaders early on in the race before fading due to tire wear to an eighth place finish. After taking several weekends off from Dirt Late Model competition, the Lee Sutton Racing team was back at it again on Saturday night, May 31 at the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia. Lee Sutton timed his #L7 entry in tenth quickest in qualifying, which earned him the outside fifth row starting spot for the $1,500 to win main event. Lee worked his way up into the top five of the A-Main until a late race restart shuffled him back to the ninth finishing position.
